Minted Address Book

The Problem

We were hearing from our customer service team that one of the biggest contact drivers were customers who were having a hard time figuring out how to use the popular recipient addressing feature.

  • Customers couldn't figure out how and when to upload addresses (pre-order or post-order)

  • Unclear about which and how many addresses would be printed on their envelopes

  • Create a global address book UI that would scale for new upcoming features

Using an iterative process

Based on user research results and ongoing data analysis, we kept iterating and would often have to go back to the drawing board when new requirements came in.

New Address Book Design

New improvements and features included:

  • Clearer visual hierarchy and contrast

  • Ability for users to load mailing lists from previous orders

  • Multiple methods for adding contacts to your address book

Tackling the problem across multiple touch points

We started to evolve this global address book UI with Minted Online Invitations in mind, which meant introducing ways to easily upload emails, link emails to mailing addresses, allowing customers to differentiate between full names and display names, and more.
